An open letter to Manny…

Dear Manny,

I owe you a HUGE debt of thanks.  You did what even soon-to-be retired Supreme Court Justice David Souter was not able to do.

You managed to knock all of the swine flu crap from the lead story, to nearly the end of the show.  I am watching the CBS Evening News, and was pleased to see that your story got more coverage than Hamthrax.  You don’t know how sick I was of hearing about that…I was desperate for anything…ANYTHING…to happen to help knock this to the back-burner.

And Manny, you did it!

Now that the news media is not as panicky about the swine flu as they were a day ago, perhaps I can now go back to looking for term life insurance online quotes, and not get quoted high rates due to my imminent death by Hamthrax.

Yeah, I will probably be sick of hearing about you within the next few days…but not as sick as I was of hearing about the swine flu.
