Report: Red Sox Players Threatened
Is it just a coincidence that this happened just as the Sox were hitting the Tampa/St. Pete area for a three game series against the R**s? Maybe, maybe not…not much has been said yet. The alleged person who made the threat isn’t even from that area, but that doesn’t mean anything. So far, it doesn’t look like that this has anything to do with the brawling that took place when these two teams last met. But who knows?
At least the media was smart enough not to release the names of the players who have been threatened. But “black and Latin” players…that could be almost half the team?
It’s already been proven, at least here in my little corner of the interwebs, that there are MANY R**s fans who are out and out assholes. I have officially decided that these fans are even worse than the worst Y*****s fans I have ever encountered. The foul comments that some of these R**s fans have left for me on this blog (none of which ever saw that light of day, as I moderate all comments here) make the comments of nasty Y*****s fans sound like something they might be able to sing on “Barney & Friends”.
I apologize to any of you out there who are good Tampa Bay fans, but I’m seeing more and more evidence that there are not many of you out there.
I honestly hope that this is not a R**s fan who is threatening our guys. But if it is, I honestly will NOT be surprised.
I just hope they can make an arrest in this case, and that everyone will be safe.
