Back online…
No, I wasn’t busy playing with the PS3 and neglecting this blog. We were away for the weekend, visiting Old Sturbridge Village. We stayed at the Motel 6 across route 20 from the Village, which advertised free WiFi. But our room was on the back side of the motel, and the antenna was in the office out front. Therefore, I had a hard time picking up a signal on the laptop. It worked fine when I took the computer outside, but I couldn’t stay outside too long in the evenings, it got too cold.
We got to watch Game Two of the ALDS, Sox vs. Angels. Partly at the Piccadilly Pub, where we went for a late dinner, and the rest back at the motel room.  That was a really good game, thanks to J.D. Drew. I am so glad he is back.
Now I am home and listening to Game Three on the radio. Another nail-biter. As I type this, we are going into the bottom of the 10th, and I’m hoping for a nice little walk-off homer.
We’ve been watching/listening to baseball all day.  Going home from Sturbridge, we took route 20 home and stopped at the Bertucci’s in Marlborough for lunch. They have a tiny bar area, where we sat. The bartender asked if we wanted to change the channel on the TV. I asked her to put on TBS so we could see the Phillies/Brewers game. I didn’t know the channel number, they have satellite with nine thousand channels, and she didn’t know, either. She was also waiting tables, and didn’t have time to play with the remote, so she just handed it to me and let me find it. We were the only ones at the bar, so that was cool.
So after we finished lunch and left the restaurant, we listened to that game and the White Sox/Rays game that followed, on XM satellite radio.  The Phillies won and will be going onto the NLCS to play the Mannies Dodgers, and I was happy that the Pale Sox beat the Rays and forced a Game 4. Maybe the ChiSox can make a big comeback…just like the Red Sox have done in past years!
The night before, in the motel, I was bummed to have seen the Cubbies fall to the Mannies…I really wanted to see the Cubbies advance.
Hopefully the Red Sox can hang in tonight and get the sweep!
