Granite State Baseball Dinner
It’s that time of the year again! The minor league baseball season may be over, the Majors are winding down…what do you do in November when it’s all over? Why, help out a few excellent causes, meet and greet some of your favorite ballplayers, bid on some memorabilia, by attending the Granite State Baseball Dinner.
This event benefits three charities – Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD), the Ted Williams Museum and the Fisher Cats Foundation.
We attended this for the first time last year, and it was a lot of fun. I got Lou Merloni’s autograph, and he let me take a pic of him, too. Also present were Johnny Pesky, the Papelbon twins (Jeremy & Joshua, who both play in the minors), several Fisher Cats players, past and present, and much more! Some of the former Fisher Cats are now with the Toronto Blue Jays, the big club. So if they want to participate, they’ll have to come down here in person, since there’ll be no broadcast on bell tv up in Canada!
No word yet on who will be appearing this year, but as soon as I know, I’ll pass that info on to you right here!
