I don’t like Scott Boras

I just don’t.  The man is a greedy, money-grubbing weasel.  And now it looks like he is going to going to demand a huge amount of money for Jason Varitek, way more than he’s really worth at this point.  So I guess it’ll be goodbye, Captain, because no way are the Sox gonna agree to that long of a contract for that much money.

I get the impression that Boras does not like to let his clients speak for themselves.  What if Varitek did want to stay in Boston, bor less money?  I bet that would not go over well.

I remember when the Sox were signing Dice-K a couple of years ago, every time we saw Matsusake on TV, Boras was joined to him at the hip, it seemed.  Did he let the man go anywhere on his own?  Did he have to escort him to the men’s room when he had to go?

Sometimes I wish I could order one of those personalized books and call it “Scott Boras Is A Weenie”. I hate him. I used to think that Steinbrenner ruined baseball. Now I believer that Scott Boras has.  He demands so much money that the teams have to raise ticket prices, and no one can afford to go to games any more.
