…because last night, I rooted for the Evil Empire. But hey, it was only because they were playing the even-more-evil-right-now R**s. And I’m rooting for them today, too. But that’s where it ends, at least until those two teams meet again!
Both the Sox/Twinkies and Y*****s/R**s games are on now. I could put on the satellite radio and switch back and forth, but I’ll just keep the Sox game on terrestrial WEEI. John Rish will certainly keep us posted of that other game.
Just don’t let anyone over at the Wild Rover Pub hear about this…they might think that I’ve defected over to the Evil Empire and charge me double next time I’m in there. They have a sign behind the bar that says “Yankee Fans Pay Double”. But I’m not really a Y***** fan, just rooting for the lesser of two evils at the moment. We DO want the Sox back in first place, don’t we? And they did advance one game last night, due to their winning and the R**s losing. So, really, it’s all for a good cause! 
Speaking of the Evil Empire, I just Netflixed the cable series The Bronx Is Burning. We don’t have cable at home, but I saw an episode of this in some bar a while back. I thought it looked like an interesting show, and I figured it would eventually come out on DVD and I could rent it. Then I kind of forgot about it, until today. I was browsing through baseball movies at Netflix, looking for something new to watch, and I came upon the series. It’s at the top of my queue right now.
But that STILL doesn’t make me a Y***** fan!
