The Brockton Rox of the independent CanAm League will be opening at Campanelli Stadium on Saturday, facing the Nashua Pride. The one millionth fan will be walking through that gates that night, and it could be YOU! Actually, I’d prefer it to be me, and it could be, because I just bought tickets!
The millionth fan will receive a prize package from the Rox, upgraded seats, and VIP treatment for the entire evening at the ballpark. This lucky person will also have the chance to win a million dollars.
Six randomly selected fans in the ballpark will also have the chance to win $10,000.
Also, there will be fireworks after the game.
There are still plenty of good seats left, I saw this when I was buying my tickets a few minutes ago. Their ticketing site lets you see the seating plan and select your seats from what’s available…I love that, because I try to get seats on the aisle whenever possible. They also let you print your tickets at home, so no waiting in the annoying line at the will-call window.
Campanelli is a very nice ballpark. It’s easy to find, not far off Route 24. Plenty of parking is available…they mostly use the ginormous parking lot at nearby Brockton High School. Last year it was three bucks to park, don’t know if that’s gone up or not. Probably, as ticket prices have also risen. The same seats that I paid eight bucks a pop for last year now cost $9.50.
They do have cheaper seats, prices start at five bucks. Still, even the $15 Super Box seats are way cheaper than going to Fenway to see the Sox, and you get food and drink service right at your seats.
Speaking of the Sox, they lead 5-1 in the top of the 4th, thanks to a grand slam by J.D. Drew in the 2nd. GOOOO SOX!
