…hearing about David Beckham?

Well, I certainly am! He’s here in New England this weekend, because his team, the L.A. Galaxy, is playing the New England Revolution tonight. For the first time, the Revs have completely sold out!

The Revs have milked this for all it’s worth, though. I heard on one of the news shows that they made people buy packages of four tickets in order to get tix for the game tonight. Clearly, people did not seem to mind this.

And the thing is, old Becks might not be able to play! He’s got a sprained ankle, but he “hopes to play at least half the game”.

Have you heard how much the Galaxy is paying this guy? $250 MILLION! Now, I’m not sure how long this is for…it has GOT to be for several years. Not even the highest paid baseball players make $250 mil in one year. Still, I’m sure it’s more than he was being paid over in England, and more than enough to buy lots of diamond rings and other pricey baubles for Posh.

Anyway, I’m sick of hearing about both of them, and as far as I’m concerned, the U.K. can have them back!
