It was the game that did not end…
…at least not for a long time! Kids in Wrentham, MA, participated in a baseball game that went for 36 hours, 101 innings, and it was all for charity. One of the charities who benefited from this was Curt Schilling’s Pitch for ALS. The kids who helped raise the most money will get to sit at a table with Curt, at a special charity luncheon.
Official website for the game.
I applaud all of these kids for doing this, as a way to raise money for charity. Too many young athletes these days care more about their own personal wins, and a lot expect to get soccer trophies for every member of the team, win or lose, just to stroke their self-esteem.
This is better. These kids all worked hard to raise the money and all, and they are the ones who deserve the accolades!
