My own home sports bar!

I was watching the Channel 7 news this morning…they do a weekly segment where they bring in a designer to redo a viewer’s room. This week’s one was wicked awesome…they guy wanted to take a formal living room and turn it into his very own *sports bar*. This guy had a huge collection of Boston sports memorabilia, and the designer used it all to decorate the room. She painted a mural that looked just like the Green Monster wall at Fenway on one wall, and a big Pats logo on another.

She cleverly re-used a lot of the home furniture that the homeowner already had, including a nice bar set…but she added a couple of new pieces, as well. She put a big flat-screen TV on the wall where the Green Monster mural is, and it really did look like a sports bar.

I have little use for a formal living room, so when we get our own house, we won’t have one. Instead, I want to use some of these ideas to have my own *sports bar* at home. One thing I would definitely add to mine is one of those big popcorn machines that they have at many bars.

It’s gonna be awesome, when we can finally do it!
