PawSox tickets!

They went on sale this past Saturday, online at pawsox.com, or at the McCoy Stadium box office.  I learned a long time ago that if you want to get decent seats, you must plan ahead and buy your tickets ASAP.  If you wait too long, the only seats available will probably be General Admission, which to me is the HELL section.  The worst-behaved kids sit up there…at least if they get too annoying, you can move to another section in GA, but in high summer, when games sell out, this is not always possible.  Often, the only open seats up there are obstructed view, not exactly good home theater type seating!

By ordering our tickets when the website first opened on Saturday, I was hoping to be able to get seats in the back row of one of the green sections, on the aisle.  But that choice was not available; we could either have aisle seats in the red section, or non-aisle seats in the green section, for the games that we can make it to.  I wanted the back row of the green section because it’s impossible for kids sitting behind us to kick at the backs of our seats.

But we decided that having seats on an aisle was more important.  So we’ll risk the seat-kickers and got seats in the first row of the red section.  Not too many stairs to worry about, good view…in fact we got the same seats we had for all the games we went to last year.

We prefer to go to Sunday afternoon games in Pawtucket.  Going to any game during the week is difficult, because of rush hour traffic going out of Boston.  Sunday is the easiest day for driving down there.  After checking our schedule of tickets already bought for next year, for the Fisher Cats and the Sea Dogs, there were only five Sunday games that we could make it to.  We got tickets to four of them, deciding to skip April 11, because it’s always too cold that early in the season.  We ARE going to Fisher Cats’ Opening Night on April 15, and it will no doubt be too cold to stay for the whole game…but we’ll be staying in the hotel that overlooks the ballpark.  So if it gets too cold, we can always go back up to the room and watch the rest of the game from there!

We got tickets for:  April 25, June 13, July 11, and August 15.

Hurry and get your PawSox tickets ASAP, for the best seats available!
