Sox Equipment Truck Leave For Florida; Spring Not Far Behind
On the TV newscast, I saw that people actually went to Fenway Park yesterday to see the truck off. No players were there, just a bunch of guys loading up a big truck.
Someday, Mike and I will go down for Spring Training. Not this year, though.
We have these friends who run a guest house up in Maine. Since their business is seasonal, only in the summer, they spend winters in Florida. They like to *torture* us by sending emails, sometimes with pictures, of all of the ballparks down there they go to during the month of March. All the while, here we’re not only freezing our asses off, but we can’t yet go to any games. We have to wait until the real season starts in April.
Maybe, though, this is something we could do afte Mike retires…winter in Florida. We’d have to talk to some mortgage lenders down there, see what we could get in terms of a winter home.
Unless, of course, we win the MegaMillions on Tuesday night, then we can just go ahead and buy whatever we want. The jackpot for that is up to $150 million; how nice it would be to won that!
