I don’t talk much about other sports here, but this particular incident really pissed me off.

Magic fan angry at ‘raging’ Davis

From the video, it clearly looked to me that the kid was out of his seat and ON the court. Even so, this is the sort of thing that happens if you have courtside seats, right?

I am getting VERY tired of these wanky-assed parents who take their kids to ANY sporting event and do not assume any risk.  Even at a baseball game, it’s possible for someone to get hurt by a ball or bat flying into the stands, or even a player falling into the stands in an effort to catch a fly ball.  It happens.  Don’t like it, then don’t sit in those areas, or better yet, stay home and shut up.

I tend to agree with most of the commentors ion the Globe story…if the Magic had won, and it was a player from that team, who ran into the kid ACCIDENTALLY, there would be no whine-fest.

Oh, and GO CELTICS! :D
