Stuph…

I just realized that we have some “empty” weekends between now and the end of the minor league baseball season!

So I have remedied that…I bought tickets for the Nashua Pride for July 27. And I bought tickets for the Worcester Tornadoes for August 24. We’ve never been to Fitton Field in Woostah before, should be interesting to see what it is like.

This coming weekend was “empty”, too, but I think we will go to the North Shore Navigators game on Sunday. During the summer, it is hard for me to go through a single weekend without going to one game or another. And I can’t believe how fast it is all flying by!

As for the Eastern League All-Star Game, I hear that they are now selling standing-room tickets for that. They don’t start selling those until all of the seats are sold out. Standing room tickets are six bucks a pop, you can buy them online at nhfishercats.com.

So it’s gonna be wicked crowded at MerchantsAuto.com Stadium that night, and I am SO glad that we have a hotel room for that night. Getting out of there and driving home would be a nightmare. As I’ve mentioned before, we are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, with a room facing the ballpark. We’ve stayed there before…it is very nice, with lots of amenities. No fancy wine refrigerator in the rooms, but they have a regular fridge, a microwave, coffeemaker, etc.  But we drink beer, anyway! ;)

Also, the Fisher Cats are doing a thing where you can buy your All-Star Game swag online, ahead of time, and pick it up at the ballpark.  I collect the mini-bats, and when I saw that they have special All-Star ones, I had to order.  I don’t want to risk waiting and then having them all gone when I get there.  So I ordered that, and a program, paid, and it will all be there for me to pick up when I get there on Wednesday!

We bought the T-shirts a long time ago.  When we bought our mini-plan, we each got a $15 team store voucher.  Just so happens that the ASG shirts cost $15 a pop, so we each got one.

So at least now I can try to forget about how the Sox are losing to the sucky Orioles, and think about all of the minor league fun that is yet to come! :D
