Taking the T to the Sox game?
If so, you may want to consider purchasing some disposable gloves for the trip.
I’m serious. Yesterday, I was on the Orange Line, going into town to meet Mike for dinner at Jasper White’s Summer Shack.  We were going to see the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall afterwards, the Shack is just a few blocks away from Symphony Hall, and also doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, as other restaurants in the area do.
Anyhoo, the train was pulling into the Wellington station, and I saw this guy peeing on the platform. He was sort of standing between two concrete poles, but it was clear to me as to what he was doing.
When the train stopped, I was horrified to see that the car I was in stopped right where the guy was peeing. Then I saw him zip up, and he got onto the train, and sat directly across from me!
What a creep he was…he was looking at me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. He was either mentally ill, or drunk/high. Or maybe a combination of the above. He was also mumbling to himself. But what skeeved me out the most was the fact that I had seen him taking a leak, and I knew that there was no way that he could have washed his hands. And there he was, touching poles and seats and stuff on the train.
I mean, we all know that public transit is dirty, but it just seems worse when you see a known skeeve touching things. Anyway, I moved as far away from this guy as I could get.
It almost makes it worth it to pay a zillion dollars for parking, and deal with Boston traffic to drive into town for Sox games, Pops concerts, or anything else.
