The Pats play softball…
…for charity, that is. Tomorrow, Saturday, May 17, current and former New England Patriots players will be playing in the Kevin Faulk Celebrity Softball Game at Campanelli Stadium, home of the Brockton Rox. The most recent addition to the roster is Randy Moss. Also scheduled to play is the legendary Doug Flutie. Many, many more former and current Pats are scheduled to appear as well, too long to list here. You can see a partial list HERE.
The VIP tickets are sold out, but there are still plenty of General Admission seats available, for only ten bucks a pop. The proceeds from this game will benefit the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and United Way of Acadiana, Louisiana, which is Kevin Faulk’s hometown. The game will start at 7PM.
I think it’s nice for these guys to be donating their time to such a good cause. I mean, they could be off doing anything they want, maybe laying in the sun on a royal caribbean cruise, or something like that. But the Patriots have always been committed to giving back to the community, many of these guys appear at charity events all over the place.
We have other plans for tomorrow, so we won’t be able to attend. But if you do go, have a great time!
