400px-broom_iconsvgSo they applied Ye Olde Broome to the Orioles this weekend.  Not that it was all that difficult, as the Orioles are one of the suckiest teams in baseball this year.  I’m looking at the standings now, and the only teams that are suckier are the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Washington Nationals.

Now the Sox will play another sucky team, the Kansas City Royals.  They are not as bad as the Orioles, but pretty close.  Hopefully Ye Olde Broome will see some action there, too, which would apply some serious nuphedragen to the Magic Number.

But what’s really cool is that the Sox are slowly catching up with the Y*****s for the division!  The Y*****s are playing the Angels this week, who definitely do NOT suck at all.  And then, next weekend, it’s Sox vs. Y*****s!

So who knows?  The tables may turn, and the Sox may get the division, and the Y*****s might have to settle for the Wild Card!  Let’s keep this momentum going!
