This sucks!

As you may know, Mike is in the hospital.  One good thing about this is that we have cable TV there, something we don’t have at home.  However, the hospital doesn’t have all the cable channels in the world.  They have regular NESN HD, not all of the NESN Plus channels.

But since the Bruins playoff game is at the same time as the Sox game tonight, we have a problem.  As in, NESN is showing the Bruins on their regular channel, and if you want to see the Sox, you’d best be paying more for a cable/satellite plan that has all of those extra channels.

Even if I won a free stay at a hotel, it would be no guarantee that they’d have all of these channels. Most places do not. The only place I have ever seen that does is the one up in Manchester that overlooks the Fisher Cats ballpark.

At first, I thought they were saying that the game could be watched on NESN.com…but that is only to get the listings for the NESN Plus channels.  In a case like this, I think that the Sox should let the moths out of their wallets, show the game online, as a consolation prize to those who don’t have a zillion dollars to get a TV plan with a zillion channels.  From what I hear, MOST people do not have this.

I guess we could listen on the radio at the hospital.  The TV device thingy does have radio capabilities, I know it has WEEI, but I don’t recall offhand if it has WRKO.  Maybe I should bring a radio from home, just in case.

This truly does suck!
