I got mail from the Brockton Rox today. I opened it, and it was a brochure with a schedule for the 2007 season. I didn’t notice this until I was reading the section with the *upcoming* promos and giveaways…hey, they are giving away Oil Can Boyd bobbleheads again? We can skip that one, we got two of them last year…LOL! Then, I looked at the actual schedule, and realized that it was for LAST year…2007. It had games against teams that no longer exist…the North Shore Spirit, New Haven County Cutters, and the traveling Grays. That’s when I looked to see the year…OOPS!
Unless this is Rox co-owner Bill Murray’s idea of a joke, they just pissed away a lot of money sending these things out to every single person on their mailing list (which consists of everyone who’s ever bought tickets from the Rox online or over the phone).
Where’s the 2008 stuff? I guess I’ll have to look on their website to buy tickets…I love the Rox, and I’m ready to buy my tickets NOW!
